Keith Gregg, MBA, CLP

Keith Gregg is Chairman of JRG Ventures, and a Certified Licensing Professional. Mr. Gregg specializes in assisting entrepreneurs, investors, and executives implement growth strategies to accelerate ideas into value. Mr. Gregg has over 25 years of operational and advisory experience in high growth life science, healthcare IT, and disruptive information systems environments.
Prior to founding JRG, Mr. Gregg held key positions at multiple biotechnology and specialty pharmaceutical companies. His management roles and responsibilities have encompassed corporate development and licensing, operations, federal government liaison, marketing, financing, mergers, and public offerings.

Mr. Gregg is an advisor to select US and non-US investor groups; a member of multiple entrepreneurial healthcare technology boards; a founding Partner in creating the healthcare technology centric park oneC1TYnashville; the Entrepreneur in Residence for Health Information Technology at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center; a past Clinical Adjunct Professor of Healthcare Technology at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University; and an invited lecturer in the areas of corporate business development, growth strategy, healthcare technology, and finance.

Mr. Gregg received his MBA in Finance & Marketing from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, and his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Gregg holds a certificate in executive business strategy from The Wharton School.

Almer Engle, RPh

Senior Vice President, Life Sciences & Healthcare

Almer Engle has over 25 years in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and regulatory experience. He has held management and senior management positions in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, device, healthcare companies and research & development companies.

Mr. Engle’s functions have been operational aspects of these various companies in relation to the regulatory and compliance issues.

His responsibilities and achievements have resulted in numerous drug applications and approvals, device registrations and company wide compliance with U.S. and foreign regulatory agencies.

Mr. Engle received his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and enrolled in graduate studies at the University of Houston where he also held a full time faculty appointment for a number of years.

Thomas Stagnaro, MBA
Consulting Senior Vice President, Life Sciences & Healthcare

Tom Stagnaro has over 35 years of experience in the medical, and biotechnology fields. His career has included Sales, Marketing, Executive Management and fund raising. In addition to leading the growth of several Biopharmaceutical companies, he has been instrumental in raising over $200 million during the last 12 years.

Mr. Stagnaro is the prior Chairman of the Board, US Biomaterials, Inc. and has served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the following companies: InKine Pharmaceuticals, Ixion Biotechnology, Board of Visitor for University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute (UMBI) and Intellivax International Inc., Protalex, Inc. and LSRO. Active member of BIO (Biotechnology Industry Organization).

Mr. Stagnaro holds three patents: 6,706,765, 6,518,310 B2, and 6,638,931 B1. All of these patents are related to discoveries of certain Protease inhibitors.

Mr. Stagnaro received his MBA in Marketing from San Jose State University and a B.S. in General Science and Chemistry from Oregon State University.


Alfred Fernandez, CPA
Vice President, Life Sciences & Healthcare

Alfred J. Fernandez has over 30 years of experience as a diversified senior financial executive with a history of significant achievements in high-growth environments. His background includes Chief Financial Officer roles with multiple public pharmaceutical and life science organizations ranging from multinational to middle market companies.

Mr. Fernandez exhibits a broad range of general business, analytical and administrative skills with substantial expertise in the following functional areas: Banking Relationships, Capital Markets, Financial Management, Control & Reporting, Information Technology, Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions, Product Licensing, SEC, Strategic Planning and Treasury & Tax Matters.

Mr. Fernandez is a Certified Public Accountant and received his B.S. in Business Administration and completed post-graduate studies in Accounting at the University of Florida.

Mac Achee
Vice President, Business Development
Life Sciences & Healthcare


Mac Achee has over 15 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, implantable medical devices, and Healthcare IT. His responsibilities have included product and services distribution, sales management, sales training, marketing, business development, product development, and managed care negotiations.

Mr. Achee assists clients in the areas of product launches, sales distribution, negotiations, marketing and placement of disruptive technologies.

Mr. Achee received his undergraduate in Marketing from the University of Alabama.
